COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH
Rather than providing quick-fix solutions, my role is to help you connect the dots, fostering self-awareness and guiding you towards healing. Together, we will identify, nurture, and leverage your inner resources to address your concerns and overcome the hurdles you're facing.
I specialize in working on Childhood Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Destructive Behaviors, Men's Issues, Couple Therapy & Christian Counseling. I am dedicated to empowering you to lead a fulfilling life. Listen, we all need help sometimes – and this is a partnership to your personal growth and healing.

My passion for counseling began in my late 20s when I started to recognize how deeply unresolved trauma and family dynamics were impacting my life. Working through those layers of pain with help was incredibly hard, but it led to real healing. That journey brought me to a place of emotional freedom and a deeper sense of wholeness.
As I experienced my own transformation, I became increasingly drawn to the world of emotional and mental health. What started as personal growth turned into a calling to support others on their own healing journeys. This eventually led me to pursue formal training in professional counseling.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of integrating what I’ve learned into my professional and community settings, helping people develop healthier emotional practices. I’ve supported individuals, couples, and groups who are seeking growth in their faith, personal lives, and mental health.
With over 20 years of leadership experience in non profit service, I’ve worked with a wide range of people from diverse cultural backgrounds: including youth, young adults, married couples, and seniors. I specialize in helping clients navigate relationship issues, faith-based challenges, anxiety, trauma recovery, and life transitions.
Whether you are looking for support in relationships, overcoming past trauma, or Christian counseling, my goal is to walk with you in a way that is compassionate, grounded, and oriented toward lasting growth.

Though not a Colorado native, I've made this beautiful state my home for many years. I'm a proud husband and father to three wonderful, albeit challenging, kids who I adore 60% of the time. My hobbies include reading, backpacking, drinking coffee prepared scientists, meeting new people, traveling, and trying new activities and adventures.

COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH
When life shifts beneath your feet—when everything familiar feels uncertain or heavy, reaching out to a counselor can be overwhelming! My goal is to make this process as smooth and empowering as possible as you face many uncertainties in life.
I’m Bethany Miller, a counselor who’s spent years living across cultures and walking with people through major life changes, grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I work with children, teens, and adults who are trying to make sense of their loss and pain through the unexpected.
Together, we’ll create space to rebuild after loss, heal from PTSD, and strengthen relationships that feel strained by emotional or cultural distance—so you can rediscover stability, hope, and connection.
My heart is to provide a safe and grounded space where every client can feel seen, understood, and supported as they make sense of their story and move toward wholeness. I have a special passion for walking alongside those who are grappling with their faith and spirituality, navigating acculturation and identity, or reeling from the effects of burnout. If you find yourself seeking stability and healing in a turbulent world, please don’t hesitate to reach out and begin making sense of your story.

COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH
My ideal client is someone who may be carrying the weight of trauma and dealing with the PTSD, grief and loss, or addiction that lingers around as a result of it. They may be experiencing a deep discontentment with their purpose on this earth, their friends, career path, or the partner they find themselves with. They may be wrestling with questions of faith or spirituality, trying to make sense of where they are, how they got there, or what God sees in them and is calling them to move toward next. Together, we'll create a space to explore the pain, untangle the messy, and move toward restoration and purpose. I specialize in trauma using Existential Therapy and CBT, and also incorporate IFS, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am a therapist who has not "arrived," but am on my own journey as well — growing and learning right alongside my clients with compassion, care, accountability, and oftentimes a bit of humor.

COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH
Growing up in Nebraska, I spent my childhood around cornfields and cattle ranches, dreaming at first of farming life. Over time, I realized my real calling wasn't tilling soil but walking alongside people as they grow in heart and mind.
That led me to study psychology and biblical studies at Grace University, then mental health counseling at the University of Nebraska and Crown College in Minnesota. Along the way, I've pursued specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method two of the most research-backed approaches available for couples work. EFT helps partners identify and reshape the emotional patterns that keep them stuck, while the Gottman Method builds the practical skills; trust, communication, and repair — that lasting relationships require. Together, these approaches allow me to meet couples both in the depth of their emotional world and in the day-to-day rhythms of their life together.
My own experiences with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks have shaped a compassionate, down-to-earth approach that blends clinical training with real-life understanding. Whether you're coming as an individual or as a couple, I'm honored to listen, encourage, and offer hope as you move toward healing and wholeness.
